News Letter
March 30,2008
This little girl had a high fever when
she was a baby and now she is an
invalid.
Patty is having too much fun.  This is at
one of the outreach ministries for the
children.
Chloe met a new friend.  Her name is
Dina.  She attends Abundante De
Gracia.
It has been a few weeks since I sent out a letter.  Here is an update.  I sent some booklets to India to a Pastor that I
have been corresponding with by internet.  He wrote me this morning to tell me that he has received them.  He has
already read Power Of Prayer by C.H. Spurgeon.  I find it amazing how God put that man in my path through internet.
We cannot support him financially, but we can sure help disciple him by the power of God's sovereign grace.  I never
thought that I would be working in India.  The good thing about it is that it will be a very affordable efficient ministry.
Those books can do more than I could ever do or a thousand short term mission groups could accomplish spending
thousands upon thousands of dollars going when we should be staying. There is a time to go, but not as much as we
think.  It cost about one hundred dollars to send some of the best qualified teachers. I sent C.H. Spurgeon, A.W. Pink,
Jonathan Edwards, John Bunyan, J.C. Ryle, R. McCheyne and John MacArthur.   I could not add one thing to what these
men teach.  It is God's Word that these men need, not me.  They need encouragement at times, but we will not go and
do their work for them.  If a Pastor is not qualified to teach his people, then he is not qualified to pastor. Look in God's
Word for qualifications of an Elder.  The men that we are working with must be God called because they like to study.
That is what I look for in a man when we go to Central America.  There are enough books, sermon cd's and other
material that if they want to learn, they can learn.  We must always remember the sovereignty of God.  He puts that
desire in our hearts to study and He will teach us and supply those that are called by Him with God centered theology
that honors Him.  Give God the glory.  God has allowed us to preach the Doctrines of Grace in India.  Very affordable
might I add.  I just had to share the India story with you and please pray for this man.  His name is Pastor Das.  He has
not asked for money.  He just wants books.  I have sent him some links, but he probably uses an internet cafe.  (A store
front with a room full of computers hooked up to internet.)  I pray that God continues to open doors to minister to His
elect.  Why He uses me?  His sovereign grace.  I am the least qualified, but by His grace I can serve.
I have also been helping my Pastor friend out at his house on some work that he needs help with.  My idea of a short
term mission trip.
Pray for our upcoming mission trip to Mexico. Pray that God will be glorified in all that we do.  We will be looking for
others to spread the glorious news of God's sovereign grace.  Pray that God will put those men in our path.  We want to
thank those that God has called to support us financially, but we never want to put that above those that pray for us or
those that send encouraging emails.  Pray for spiritual discernment for all of us that are His chosen ones.  The Church
is in dire need of this. I lack this in my life also.  Pray that God will continue to change us.  We are always reforming.
God is the potter and we are the clay.
Preach the Word.  Exalt the name of Christ. Give God the glory.
In His Grip,
Gary Lankford
